Hi. I just wanted to update everyone here as I can’t find my original post about me being worried for my biopsy results after something was found on my first mammogram after treatment (7 months since chemo and 5 months post radiotherapy).
I went for my biopsy results yesterday and thank god they were benign calcifications. I am so relieved I can’t tell you how worried I was.
I’m updating you because I couldn’t find any posts of people being recalled for a finding on their non cancer breast so soon after treatment so I hope this offers a little reassurance if anyone finds themselves in this position in the future (hopefully not!).
I can’t cope with the worry so have signed a consent form to have my right breast removed (I am brca2).
Hi Sparkle498uk
Thanks for the update - I was thinking of you yesterday. You must be incredibly relieved.
There was an interesting article this week about the mental health aspects of cancer
