Hi I have just had my first chemo on Friday I didn't have any bad symptoms but I suffer from anxiety have for years rang my doctor they have increased it just wonderd if any symptoms of anxiety like me how do you cope
The patient support nurse attached to my chemo team recommended Guided Meditation. There are loads of different sessions on YouTube and once I found one or two that suited me I found them calming. Also I was given a Lorazepam to take before each chemo session by the chemo team and made use of these. Finally a local cancer charity paid for me to have 6 sessions of virtual counselling. Different things suit different people, I went along with everything I was offered feeling I needed all the help I could get. Also MacMillan and Breast Cancer Now do helplines if you find talking helpful. Let your breast care nurse and chemo team know how your are feeling. I hope you find something that helps. xx
Thank you all for the feed back i have contacted breast cancer counselling near me i am going have 6 sessions with them.xx
