Hello everyone.

Does anyone have a neuroendocrine breast cancer? Very little information out there for this type. Many thanks.

    Hi

Warm welcome to the club no one wants to join :-/

Sorry this is a brief reply but we have to go out and I couldn't read and run...

Breast NET's are very uncommon (only around 5% of breast cancers) That is probably why information is so hard to find.

Click the coloured text - Links to sites from Maggies Cancer Centre and this leaflet below is from NET's Patient Foundation Org UK.

    https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/38/Breast-_2D00_Factsheet.pdf

I can place these links in now and will get back later today - Have you been given a treatment plan as yet ?

Hope this is of some help for now, G n' J

    Hey

Sorry for jumping in I am not a breasti but I am a NET (primary lung - which is also rare) though NETs themselves are rare but more so found in the bowel and pancreas if they are found.

There is a neuroendocrine group on this forum, though rather quiet.

The best place for information on nets is Net patient foundation website

I hope this helps and a little and good luck.

Thanks so much Dreamthief.  I´ll have a look at link.  Being treated as if normal breast cancer, but would like to have more knowledge of this.

Thanks Ginajsy.  I´ll have a look at the group as in addition, I have an unspecified nodule on lung too.

Hope you are ok.  Thanks again.

    Morning

If this is being treated as breast cancer have you been given a treatment plan as yet ?

Sometimes this can be surgery then radiotherapy, but in some cases if chemo is recommeded that can be given either before or after surgery (mostly after)

    Take care, G n' J

    Hi

Yes treated as Breast Cancer, major surgery done, coming to end of 5 months of chemo, then radiotherapy then pills and entering a trial in a European hospital where I'm being treated.  All pretty straightforward really in terms of planning.  No fuss, or doubts. xx

    Hi

Nice to see you are getting towards the end of the treatment tunnel; great to get the chemo stage out of the way.

    Hugs, G n' J
