Hi,

Does anyone know of any grants/subsidies for buying bikes?

My husband has had stage 4 colon/lung cancer for 11 years. Our boys 10&12 can be quite restricted by it, for example we had never been for a bike ride. This Monday it was his birthday and I hired an ebike. He got on surprisingy well and we had such a wonderful time together, I would like to buy one.

Hi , sounds like a really good idea. It depends where you live though, they have a scheme in Scotland, there was one in England but the deadline has gone. It might be worth trying local charities.

Hi, thanks. We're in Hampshire. Typical that I have missed an offer. Who was that with?

They were government grants through local councils. Might be worth checking with yours in case they would make an exception.
