Last night at 11:45, my sons and I said our last goodbyes to my darling wife Margaret.
My sons have shown a strength that I didn't know they possessed. Our daughters (in law technically but they are our daughters) have shown a kindness and compassion that is a perfect reflection of Marg. Our beautiful grandchildren are showing us the way forward by utterly embracing the memory of their beloved Curly Nanny.
For seven and a bit years, Margaret fought with every ounce of her being to survive long enough that our grandchildren would remember her, but this was a given as she was truly unforgettable.
@Cancer, Guess what? You didn't win. You can go and firmly screw yourself. Margaret will live on in the hearts of her family and her loved ones forever.
Love wins every time.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. You sound like a strong bunch and will help each other through x
