Recipe blog for carers

G'day everyone,

I've started a blog of some of the recipes I've used over the past couple of years while I've cared for my wife.

Most of these (apart from the slow cooker recipes) can be over and done with in about an hour and require minimal fiddling - I'm a big fan of the chuck-it-in-a-pot-and-leave-it-alone school of cooking.

I've tried to concentrate on recipes that

  • use everyday ingredients that most people would have
  • don't require fancy-shmancy herbs and spices
  • require minimal prep time
  • require minimal intervention while cooking
  • are easily modified to suit differing nutritional requirements
  • use as few pans and dishes as possible to minimize cleanup

As I add more recipes, I'll add to this post.

If you spot any typos or have a problem with any of them, message me and I'll get back to you ASAP.

If you are going to try these on your OH, double check with your care providers that the ingredients are suitable and don't contain anything that could compromise their treatment regime or cause issues with swallowing or digestion.

Hopefully these will be of benefit.

Peace,
Ewen :-)
