Hello brca1 group
I had a mastectomy and reconstruction a month ago due to an aggressive triple negative breast cancer, I'm brca1 positive and only 44 but my hospital won't touch the remaining healthy breast due to covid restrictions. I feel utterly let down as not only am I lopsided lucy
(reconstruction is smaller due to skin sparing) I know my natural breast is a ticking time bomb as I have a high cancer reoccurrance rate.
My hospital cannot give me a date for op
Hi . I'm so sorry to read your feel your hospital has let you down. I'm not from this group but noticed you've not had a reply to your post - by me answering it'll "bump" your post up to the top of the listing so I hope someone will be along soon to answer.
It might also be a good idea to look over some of the older posts here on the forum which might be along the same lines and reply to some of the threads and introduce yourself.
