Hello everyone!
Family history of breast cancer : grandmother (deceased), mother, sister, cousin (deceased), me.
I was recently due to start radiotherapy following a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy for ILC/IDC but that was cancelled following a genetics meeting with my bc nurse where I was informed I was positive for the BRCA 2 gene. I am therefore now having a double mastectomy with reconstruction and my ovaries removed.
Has anyone been through something similar?
Many thanks, Jo xx
Hi Jojo73
It looks like following my suggestion to post here hasn’t resulted in any new replies but I am pleased to find someone has found your post on the breast cancer forum. Wishing you all the best.
