  • The mysteries of Mo
    September 2nd 2011

Been a crap day today had to tell my mum & dad the "bad news" driving up from Morrisons and the bank, tears arrived whilst I was driving. Don't know why but the tears & emotions wash over you at the weirdest times, usually triggered by a thought from the "past" or worse from the "future",a song or just about anything.Tried to pull myself together before my mum opened the front door, didn't happen the "tears & emotions"washed over us yet again!...

  • The mysteries of Mo
    September 1st 2011

Returned to Hurstwood Park today & got the results of brain biopsy,it wasn't good news at all. Mo has got a Grade iv astrocytic glioma (glioblastoma) a malignant aggressive cancerous brain tumour. Its inoperable and terminal,I hate that word!!
Radiotherapy is the only treatment available at present, every other day for two weeks hopefully it will control the growth and alleviate the symptoms, best possible scenario shrink the bastard (unlikely though!).Radiotherapy is being used to increase...

The cancer is still under control, I am still just on Herceptin and the best bit of all is I am FINALLY getting my breast reconstruction tomorrow!! I decided on the advice of some very special people in my life to give it one more try and it definately paid off. I am going in at 7am tomorrow and at some point...

  • Bummer....!
    Euphemisms and Psycho codes
So, Little My stuck her fingers in her ears and shouted La la la la while Sensible My told her not to overdo it and thus she overdid it.
Headache and wanting to be sick have now passed and Silly My has listened just enough to spend the day at home with her feet up and not go to school so she can be ready for tomorrow when the kids come back. (well, physically ready cos she hasn’t prepared anything else ha ha and she’s blaming you cos you said not to!)
    Tomorrow is Thursday for those...

    Ups and Downs
I wrote a blog, but didn't realise the site was down again last night, so when I published it, it disappeared into the ether lost forever as I didn't copy before publishing. Note: Must copy blog before publishing in case it gets lost.
Managed to come downstairs for 4 days in a row, defiantly feeling better as asking for cups of tea and glasses of Whisky.
Until Friday, when hubby felt tired and just wanted to rest in bed. Saturday, he didn't feel upto coming down stairs and spent the day...

    Feeling happier today...

At last I have finished all my treatments! I have been through a tough year and am relieved it is at present all over....I have been a brave soldier and not really said much to anyone so have ended up with depression which is now being  treated.

I wish I had tried to speak to the people that offered to help and let the people who wanted to visit even though I thought I looked awful because of the chemo etc....it was just to say to people just starting out on the treatment path don't be too proud...

    Back To Skool

Which idiot told me it was a good idea to go back to work?

You lot? no, you said next week

Doctors? no they said next week.

Oh that'll be me then... oooops.

So, Loony My was running around going whoo hoo last night mucking about cos there was no mac site to play on and Sensible My was trying to get her to pack her bag and get an apple and sharpen her pencils etc...

So, Loony My ironed her pencils, sharpened her shoes and polished her dress and packed an apple for the teacher and then remembered...
