Eurgh, how crap do i feel (probably not as crap as my mum) For about two weeks now my mum has been ill, which i fear has set her back and shorted her 'months to live' to only a few now. About two weeks ago now i would have said that she would have seen her next birthday which is in May, now i'd say christmas is a stretch now. Dr's are thinking infection - but personally i think the cancer has spread to her bowels (she has secondary breast cancer in her stomach) i just hate seeing her...
It's been a few days since I posted, I am not sure if thats a good or bad thing really, I find visiting this site can be difficult on times, not because I don't want to give or receive support etc but sometimes it's nice to not dwell on the Cancer.
The past few days have been OK, in fact better than OK they have been good days. I would never have thought 6 weeks ago when Steve was diagnosed with a GBM and given 12 to 18 months to live that I would ever have a good day again but I have...

I was diagnosed with BC late October, thirty years to the month after having my first mastectomy aged 23. I had second mastectomy on 2.11.10. and have just been told that it was grade 3 with 16 out of 20 lymph nodes also infected . I am seeing Onchologist on Friday 19.11.10 and have been told to expect 6 months chemo and 2 months radiotherapy. I am usually such a positive person but right now positivity is in short supply. I am afraid. Afraid of the thoughts of treatment, afraid of result of CT scan...
This time last week I was spending a weekend watching my Mum be more ill than I had ever seen her and here I am a week later and if she wasnt in a hospital bed you would almost say "there is nothing wrong with her", she is sitting up and chatting, jumping in and out of the bed (quicker than I would!) and looking good. When I talk to her on the phone its like "old times" where I am in my house and she is in hers and we are just catching up! It makes it all the harder knowing that the Doctor...
Hello, my husband has a glioblastoma . I am finding it harder to cope than at diagnosis. Feel physically ill and feel guilty for not being strong enough. How do i find the strength? Don't know that to do. Any suggestions? xx
