    Keep your chin up

Sorry haven't been on in a while having problems getting into my files it keeps coming up with error messages so sorry to anyone if you have been waiting on me accepting your requests. Story so far is hubby is about to start 3rd chemo cycle on Tues and the info we have so far is that there is no sign of the cancer anywhere else so the chemo hopefully will get rid of any stray little buggers that have managed to escape because it had spread to the nodes in his groin but has had all of them removed...

    Advice needed please

    Hey,

I am caring for my mum who has throat (tonsil) cancer. She was diagnosed in Nov 10 with stage T2 N2 M0 which i believe is stage 4? Nobody ever did tell us the stage other than the TNM.

When mum was diagnosed they told her that as she doesnt smoke or drink that her chances of it being cured were around 80%. As much as i wanted to be happy i wasn't sure that 80% could be accurate as the cancer had spread from the right tonsil to the lympth nodes on the same side of the neck. They took out the...

    My Lovely Wife Julie 8

Things have been a lot better the last few days.  No Nausea, the odd small vomit, but nothing to worry about - usually the result of a coughing fit.  The cough is easing up though now - the antibiotics must be taking effect.

It shouldn't be too long before we can get out again - out of our prison and into some fresh air, maybee visit some local friends.

  • For Dad xxxxx
    r.i.p dad x x x
16th July 2010 – the day my Dad, the best Dad you could possibly ever wish for, was diagnosed with lung cancer. He said to me he had a small tumour on one of his lungs and he would get through it. Now, 8 months on, Dad has passed away after the cancer laughed at all treatment it was given. First we found out he had lung cancer. Then we found out it had spread to his liver and one of his ribs. Then his chemo didn’t work in the slightest, and it had spread again to his adrenal gland.  Then...

    Nearly halfway through chemo!

Hi all, third chemo next wednesday will be halfway through yeah! I mainly feel really good even though lots of people keep telling be it will get so much worse, not very helpful and obviously we are all different, still make the most of feeling good and doing lots incase things do change. I even love my wig, my hair has thinned but no bald patches yet so hopefully the coldcap is doing its job. My wig is so much easier than my own hair I think I will probably moan more when I have to go back to washing...
