    Coming home

I collected her from the hospice yesterday lunchtime, complete with two carrier bags of medication. She was rather anxious about (I think she felt secure in the hospice) and I was concerned about her having an anxiety attack, which had put her into the hospital in the first place. With a little reassurance from myself and the staff she got in the car and we drove home. I settled her down, sorted out her medication, most of the bulk was clexain and nebules for her nebuliser, and compared...

    Another First!

It is my daughters 5th birthday today and when the family all turn up at 6pm Dad isn't going to be with them. He was the present unpacker, the new toy player and the 'entertainer' and my children's parties.

I will be very aware that he is missing but hopefully Cerys won't be!
Lots of love to you all......

    R.I.P Hugh (aka Father Hugh)

It has been awhile since I have been on this site, because so much has happened. Plus I have found it difficult.

Last year 09 I wrote a blog ('Never Let a Soul Brother Go Through the Suffering and Pain - STOP IT EARLY) about my husband Hugh being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

Sadly on the 4th June 2010 Hugh passed away after a long fight to over come this.

By coming on here is away to not let Hugh death be in vain and to say to all the Black Brother's and their families out there, please...

    First Chemo session

I have my first chemo session tomorrow and I am feeling rather scared and unsure.

I know that everyone reacts differently so now one can tell me how it will affect me personally but I just wanted to share my feelings with people who I know will understand how I feel.

    euro disney

lil man went to disney land in paris today for six days. His dad and i will be joining  him on saturday and i cant wait.

This is  positive thing to think about. I cant wait to go and have some fun. Life has been so unreal and out of control these last couple of months. This is going to be an experience for all of us.

I am slighty nervous about going because lil man has a hikman line in and i dont know if the rides will hurt it.  Hopefully it will be fine and nothing will happen but i still worry...

    Background

My wife, Claudette, was diagnosed with endometrial cancer  four years ago, she had a hysterectomy and radiotherapy, and we thought she was in remission. Unfortunately, it re-occurred in the neck (which caused her a considerable amount of pain as it was not diagnosed for a considerable time) and was again radiotherapied. Over the last year it has re-occurred three times and each has been radiotherapied. It has now returned and has been diagnosed as terminal. Whilst the way the news was broken was,...

    councilling

I should be going to my first councilling session today, so as I should have been alone I arranged for my sister to come and stay with me last night so I would have some support if I felt emotional afterwards. But after she arrived yesterday afternoon I got a call from the councillor oppologising but cancelling my appointment at short notice and remaking it for next monday. She said she had a referral but equally was supprised to find I was not working, considering everything that happened and how...

The Widow Vibe: Some questions about an apple tree - and looking for ‘signs’.

I should be writing my formal letter of complaint to the PCT.   I will get there, but it is going to be a long missive, copies of which will be going to at least one interested MP and to my lawyer.

At the moment I am stuck on the second paragraph. Oh, there is so much to write and every word is very difficult.

So I thought I would tell you a little story instead. It is a happy story and should bring you some cheer.
