Hi everyone
Just wanted to say that I had my last chemo session on the 22/9/2010. Not suffering too badly from side effects as yet although do feel a bit washed out today and have sore throat. Normally have an injection in my stomach day after chemo but decided against it this time due to the side effects. Just going to take things nice and easy for next few days then will have blood test to make sure all still ok.
Really sad to say goodbye to my chemo nurses as they have all been terrific and...

Hi,
Had a routine colonoscopy on Monday, they found a "swellling" and took a biopsy. At home she used her computer, had lunch and tea (and a snack of a slice of pizza which my aunt brought over), and seemed pretty well. The District Nurse visited, and after...

Two weeks since finishing treatment and I'm happy to report that I'm loads better. A week ago I was still needing daytime rests and my skin was still very delicate, but this week I have been in work and have been to ballet (twice! Yay!).
I was discharged by the oncologist today. He was happy with my progress (including my reporting improvements in bowel movements which he takes to be a very good sign), and has handed me over to the surgeon. My lovely specialist nurse is booking scans for...
