Another long day in this fight for time, I am starting to feel this is an endurance test it certainly feels like it as the days are long and the problems come thick and fast with little opportunity to arm ourselves or dodge them.

Peter had 2 units of blood today, but his body has had enough of these constant frequent transfusions so he had a small rigor afterwards not bad but just enough to let us know its going to be…

We made the dawn trip to Marsden today with trepidation as Peter looks like a waxwork , extremely pale we played guess the hb on the train and I was on the nose 7.4.

It is a mystery where the bleed is as he is not nauseous or vomiting anything. his stools are black suggesting he is digesting blood but his urea levels are normal, scans and  endoscopy reports and pictures have been revisited and shown no bleeder.

Peters HB on Thursday was 9.2 just enough to get him on the trial. But the random allocation did not put him in the group that gets the MM-111 trial drug. We got up at 4am today and his…

The PICC dressing needed changing today, I  volunteered even tho Its a long time since I donned a pair of sterile gloves, and we didn't have PICC…

Its a month since Peters CT scan showed progression.

We were told today that the latest scan on Saturday shows considerable further progression his liver is in a sorry state with even more lesions and the first ones have grown a lot. His tumors markers are spiraling.

He had a gastroscopy today to get the biopsies that we hope will be accepted for MM-111 trial. Thankfully the brilliant Martin Benson did the procedure…
