    Its been a good day Peter sold his one of his dinghy's, its being collected tomorrow so rather than waiting around at the lockup I had the bright idea of bringing it here. We wrestled the beast into the back of the van, got it out here, ran out of puff so left it leaning against the wall in the hall, we look right ready for a flood.     Peter is losing weight fast now, and pain is becoming more of an issue.

    We are very aware that although he is hopefully to start trial on 14th time is not on our side now. He is to have another CT scan on 11th January.

    He has leased a lock up for years and decided, given his health that he will give it up, so his accumulated treasures, tools, unfinished projects, men's mags, etc must go.

    We found ourselves with a few days before we recommence battle, I was concerned that peter would become despondent ,he has always loved to go out, and hates his lack of strength and staying power.

    We enjoyed our virtual holiday earlier in the year, so we embarked on a virtual cruise. on Friday when I booked us into a nice seafront hotel a short drive from home.

  • Nest or Man Cave ?

    Our eldest daughter  suggested last week, we should build a Nest in their huge bungalow for her Dad to use over Christmas and beyond, as he needs to get into position to combat pain then he sleeps off and on through the day.

    We bought a large comfy very old recliner chair and set it up in a room next to the bathroom. A  television, lamp, pillow, fleece blanket hot water bottle , coffee table etc  and us girls were happy…

    Peter has been working as a volunteer in our local Hospice shop for some time  but we had never been to a hospice, until today 

    His oncology team suggested the time was right to be referred so the initial appointment was this morning..

    What a lovely warm welcoming place , the staff were friendly and the actual building clean light and bright.  Peter had a two hour consultation with a very nice doctor , she examined him…
