Its a month since Peters CT scan showed progression.
We were told today that the latest scan on Saturday shows considerable further progression his liver is in a sorry state with even more lesions and the first ones have grown a lot. His tumors markers are spiraling.
He had a gastroscopy today to get the biopsies that we hope will be accepted for MM-111 trial. Thankfully the brilliant Martin Benson did the procedure.
But time is not on our side and Peter was pronounced not fit enough for chemo or trial today.
He will have a Picc line put in on Thursday followed by 2 units of blood. then he will be reassessed on Tuesday ,
If the biopsies passed muster and he is deemed fit enough he will commence the trial.
If the biopsies did not fit the criteria but he is fitter he can have Paclitaxole.
If he has either of these options it might slow progression but it is a long shot
If neither of the above then its steroids pain killers and wait for the bus home.
