How heavy is heavy bleeding?

I was like this when I had the menopause, but it only lasted a few days at a time. I'd say yours was heavy, and I think you should ask about it. You could become anemic. I' have no experience of a coil, so maybe someone else has!! xxxx

Was anaemic Dec/Jan, its a rotten feeling. Apparently not now, but have requested repeat blood tests to check. That's 27 days bleeding now on the trot, have asked Consultants sec to email him and let him know.

Hi I was like that in my menopause too.  It went on for months and months and sadly I didn't do anything about it because I was too scared.  I did become anaemic and was given iron tablets by the GP.  Six years after my menopause finally ended, I was diagnosed with cancer.  I do sometimes wonder if I had done something about the excessive bleeding at the time things might have ended up differently.  Have you gone through the menopause yet?  My actual cancer symptoms six years later where tiny spots of pink now and then and eventually what was like a very light period for one day.
