Morning, I was really gobsmacked yesterday when I received my next supposed pre-chemo appointment as it was for the week after my treatment has been booked. Despite phoning the hospital I was unable to get any clarification and the number for my CNS just went to voice mail. I'm obviously getting very stressed as surely chemo doesn't get delayed because the consultant takes leave or is off sick. Anyone else had this happen to them? I'm really hoping I get it sorted today. My phone will be well used I can assure you!
Take care ladies Nannasuki xx
Good morning ,
What a odd situation. Ironically my Dad got a letter for a pre op assessment that was scheduled two weeks after his op- go figure! Its no wonder your stressed about it. Although its a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, surly there are things in place if the consultant is on holiday or sick, they are aloud time off. They all have other consultants on their team registers etc. I hope you can get though to your CNS to help explain what the procedure is and has your chemo been moved etc.
Fingers crossed you get answers to this confusion

I hope it is a clerical error nannasuki. I also received a phone call yesterday rescheduling my check up appointment which was this thursday. Luckily I have already had the scan but the appointment has now been pushed into April..no reason given and it was already a gap of four months not three so this will be five. My original thought was due to the coronary outbreak but I don't know! God bless. Love lamb.xx
Hi Ladies, just to let you know that the confusion over my next chemo has been sorted! Hurrah! It was such a relief to hear from my CNS this morning. She was on the case but unfortunately didn't contact me until today. Never mind, at least it's been sorted now.

Good to hear that nannasuki. Glad that's sorted out. It would be very worrying if they started cancelling chemotherapy! Love lamb.xx
