Hi My first discussion. I went for pap smear on Dec 12. DR said my uterus was larger than normal. Went for untra sound next day. Then he called and wanted me to do a endo biopsy last Friday. He said it would prob take longer to get the results because of Christmas holiday but he had called me to day when I wasnt home and said for me to call back. The office was closed when I called back. Now Im really worried because dont you think he would have told me on the answering machine if it was good news?

No.

Legally he isn't allowed to leave results on an answering machine as it could be listened to by anyone, and would break patient confidentiality.

Sorry to hear that you got that diagnosis (same as mine). Did the consultant indicate stage/grade or what treatment might be needed? Most of us here seem to have experienced this diagnosis coming out of the blue and it is so totally overwhelming. However, you will get lots of support, information and virtual hugs from people on the forum. Did you have any symptoms?

No symptoms just when I went for pap smear dr thought my utereus was bigger than normal. After the ultrasound showed the lining at 15mm so he did biopsy not even thinking I had cancer, We were both shocked. He said he wouldnt know the stage until after the uterus was removed or during surgery.
