I had a total hysterectomy on the 11th November as I had stage 2 endometrial cancer. I have my follow up appointment tomorrow to see if I need any further treatment. I feel more stressed now than I did before surgery. Did anyone else feel like this
Hi. I remember that feeling. I had stage 1 (1A I think) and had the total hysterectomy then, like you, a couple of weeks later I had to return for an appointment where I would find out what next. It was the only time that I took someone with me to an appointment. I took a friend who has had lots of hospital visits, for a different condition, as I knew she would be used to these situations. When the doctor told me that I needed no further treatment my friend was more excited than I was! I just felt numb. I had been keeping myself together and being stoic for so long that it was hard for me to enjoy feeling relieved. I had to get a coffee and sit in the cafe for about half an hour just to relax. Then had lunch. Then was exhausted and had to go home.
I do hope that you get good news like I did. Fingers crossed for you.
