Sorry for the stark title! It’s been a while since I have posted and generally I am well following a hysterectomy in July for 1A womb cancer. Recovery has generally been good but (sorry TMI) I totally freaked this morning as after going to the loo there was a small pink spot on my loo roll. My letter after last appointment said if there’s any abnormal bleeding/discharge it’s serious. It’s frightening me so much. I will ring my gynae/oncology team tomorrow but I am scared. I know it’s probably nothing sinister but my anxiety has hit thenroof. I was meant to be Christmas tree shopping and decorating today with my lovely husband but cried all day instead.
xx
Hi Stephy,
I can imagine how you feel. I still check when going to the loo, and I am two years post surgery. I'm guessing things are still settling down. I read on here somewhere it can take a year to heal completely from the operation. I think if it were me I'd ring my CNS to check.
Hope its nothing, xxxxxx
hi stephy please dont panic i know its difficult not to but youd be surprised just how common this is. there are several things that can cause this none of them serious especially as your cancer was caught at 1a. i had it happen to a couple of times. no cause was found so it was thought to be atrophy where the lining of the vagina becomes thin due to lack of estrogen and gel was prescribed. also granulation on the vaginal cuff can cause this. a quick visit to your cns or consultant should clear it up.
