Hello
I’m new to the group - I am recovering from hystereoscopy to remove polyp and awaiting biopsy results tomorrow. I was absolutely fine immediately post-op. No pain just mild discomfort. I am now day 25 post op and my cycle is 30-35 days long. I have been in incredible pain for the last three days. Lower pelvis, thighs, lower back. I am shaky and walking is painful. I am wondering whether anyone else had experience of this. And also whether my pain could be due to the stage in my cycle. Could it be as the womb is thickening it is making where the polyp was and where the biopsy was taken hurt due to expanding lining? I am so nervous about tomorrow’s results (have had three years of mid-cycle bleeding and cramping) and bladder cystoscopy (no abnormal result) and was diagnosed with submucosal fibroid (which has turned out to be a polyp that was removed 25 days ago).
sorry for the ramble - I feel all over the place today. Grateful for any reassurance/experience any of you may have.

Hi Hammy,
Can you phone nhs 111 about your symptoms? id definitely ask your gynaecology consultant about your pain at your appointment tomorrow, just to make sure it's not anything to worry about. If you can't ask them you could give your gp a call.
I don't have a similar experience but lots of women pass through the group and get the all clear, so try and take one step at a time. It's so tough waiting, if you have trouble sleeping tonight I can really recommend mindfulness videos from you tube or just deep breathing.
Let us know how you get on at your appointment
lots of love

Heya,
Did they insert the Mirena Coil at the same time as removing your polyps?

I have no medical training, everything I post is an opinion or educated guess. It is not medical advice.
No they didn’t!
im just back from my appointment and all is ok. Polyp was apparently a large one and I have a post-op infection which I can take antibiotics for. So it’s antibiotics and ibuprofen for the next week and await my next period which I’ve been advised might be a painful one.
thanks for the replies to my original message. Sending you all love xx
