I slept all night only getting up once to the loo.
And I've managed a shower rather than just washing.
Later I'm having the 2nd dressing off, maybe another one but that's the nurse's decision.
After that I get to see my very best friend who I've not seen for 3 weeks. We usually meet at least once a week. A few months ago she had surgery on her ankle and couldn't drive, so I was driving her everywhere, now it's the other way round!
Hi Nina
I bet it felt good to be able get a good nights sleep and have a shower and the prospect of having more dressings removed will help you feel better.
I hope you had a good catch up with your friend who I'm sure she will be really pleased to see you and be happy to return the driving favours you did for her. I always feel so frustrated by how much people do for me and how little I am able to do for them in return.
Be sure to give yourself some time to rest up after all the excitement of today as you may find the extra exertion will catch up with you.
Hope you continue to feel better.
