Hi everyone. So last Tuesday was my 3 month post treatment check. I thought of every excuse not to attend. Didn't sleep, was snappy with everyone. My beloved daughter said Mum I have some toil owing to me, I can go with you. Mmmmmm no excuses then ! All good. Internal was fine, not something I was looking forward to, I know you all know what I mean. But my Onc was very pleased that everything looks very good. Phew. She said I will see you in 3 or 4 months, I said lets make it 4 ? She agreed, she said people tend to panic if she says 4 months, but it could have been 6 for me. I have honestly not felt so well for the last couple of years, energy levels after the Chemo and RT are recovering and I would say that I am 95% back to 'normal' whatever normal is lol ! I just wanted to post this to say to all that are starting their journey on this path that there really is hope, stay as positive as you can. Can't believe my diagnosis was 21st August last year and that operation, treatment and 3 month check all done in literally 10 months ! How brilliant is our NHS when it works. The word Cancer is so frightening, and in years gone by the  fear of the word was so much that people tended not to utter it in public, but times have indeed changed.

I'm not smug or stupid to believe that it can't return, but so far so good. Take each day as it comes. And Never let any unusual or worrying   symptoms go unchecked.

Love and hope for all,

LC
