Hi ladies, I just thought I would update you I have Just had my first year cancer review, saw my actual consultant, my scan result was normal so was the check up that he did today, he was pleased with everything and has signed me off, I’m a bit scared to be left alone with no checks, but as he said, any problem at all I can just go straight back and see him, personally I think it will help me mentally, I can’t move forward with all these checks hanging over my head, I get far to stressed, even today I got to the booking desk and had to rush out Cos I had a panic attack, he agreed that it was not worth the stress it caused, I had a really lovely chat with him and can honestly say I feel a lot better mentally than I have for a long time, now to move on with my life xxx
That's wonderful news lara lou..I'm so pleased for you because I know you were not looking forward to the appointment. I'm glad everything was ok although I can understand you feel a bit in limbo by not having appointments in future but at the same time are pleased that you dont. At least you can ring him for a chat and you'll be seen immediately if anything was to go amiss although I hope it wont. That's reassurance in itself. God bless you.x
Hi Lara Lou, what wonderful news! So happy for you - I feel a happy dance coming on I'm glad you feel you are in a much better place mentally. You've come a long way since you first joined the forum. Plan a holiday, challenge yourself to do new things but above all enjoy life! Love and hugs xx
Great news Lara lou xx I know how stressed you have felt about your check ups and to be told that everything is great and be told you don't need to have regular check ups I know is a huge relief for you. The good thing is you can always go and get checked if something worries you. Fantastic news for you, onwards and upwards!
