Hello again all. My mother should get the results of her CT and MRI scans in the next couple of days and as you can imagine we are all very nervous. I've posted before on her regarding her symptoms. One thing I didn't mention was that in the past couple of years she has had recurring bladder problems, which was diagnosed and treated as cystitis. It seems to have mostly cleared up with antibiotics but she fears that it might have in fact been related to her cancer.
Obviously we are imagining all kinds of terrible scenarios right now - the not knowing is the worst - but I just wondered if anyone could kindly advise on this, please? I would have thought that a condition that was effectively treated by antibiotics would be a separate issue to cancer.
Thank you.
Hello
Im sorry to hear you and your Mum have these added concerns. I’m not a medic so can’t comnent. I do know how anxious this waiting for tests and results is, though, and how easily we jump to worst case scenario. Could your GP advise at all? Sending you both gentle hugs and lots of good wishes that all goes well with the scans x
