Hi everyone I'm having a nightmare of a day seen the dreaded blood on the tissue been to the doctor's she did an internal and said she couldn't see cancer I asked can you see cancer she said yes she thinks the bleeding is through lack of estrogen. Spoke to my CNS and she is arranging an appointment for me to see a gyno doctor.  She said with the doctor saying she couldn't see anything that ought to make me feel better but I don't I'm so scared. The doctor said she saw a pool of blood near top of my vagina and she took a swop. I'm sore and bleeding. Don't know what to do I want to cry but cannot want to sleep but can't.  Sorry to go one xxxx

  • hi chickpic, so sorry to hear you're having a bad day. If its any help I went for my 3 month check Las week (am now almost one year post op). He said he was feeling for any lumps or bumps. Iundersand that these checks are done by feeling and looking and then further investigation if anything shows up. So try not to worry too much - easier said than done I know. I'm the worlds worst! Sending you a hug and hoping you get sorted out soon xxx

  • Hi chickplc,

Ive had vaginal bleeding checked out twice since my op in Aug 17, both times they haven't found anything at all. They gave me a vaginal moisturiser called hyalo femme, I found that helped as it has an applicator to get it right inside where it's needed. I also have sylk, my CNS arranged both on prescriptions for me.

its normal to be scared, it brings back all of the feelings from when you are diagnosed, try and keep busy and distracted until you see the gynaecologist, to check me out they inserted a speculum and had a good look inside, they also had a good feel around and a good feel of my belly.

    Lots of love

    xxx

  • Hi , sorry to hear your having a rough time there. Hopefully the blood is nothing serious but I am glad to hear that they have taken swabs and getting you tested. You certainly don't need to apologize at all for feeling the way you do, every time this kinda thing happens its scary and our minds go in to overdrive with the what its. Try as much as I know its hard try to focus on you did the right thing, you reported it and they are testing you. I know waiting is damm awful but try to relax because you need your strength and energy where only good sleep can fix.

Sending you a gentle hug and fingers crossed that your OK.

  • Thanks Arla you always make sense. I think my CN nurse frightens the life out of me.  The doctor today inserted a speculum and took the pap test. I'm still bleeding now and feel sore. Thanks for talking xxx

  • Hi Arla again, did you have any yellowish discharge?  I did 3 day earlier but that cleared up now this.  Xx

  • Hi Chickpic,

Sorry you are in this predicament. When I was examined before I was diagnosed the consultant thought it was vaginal dryness affecting me. I think that is quite common from what was said. Hope its something simple!  xxxxx

  • The second time it was a light brownish colour, a good bit at once then it cut back to not much at all.

  • Hi Chickpic,

Sorry to hear this. I hope your swab results come back quickly and that it's nothing serious. I know nothing I say can stop you worrying but I'm sending you a gentle hug and lots of positive thoughts x

I have just had my first discussion with my CNS and she spoke about post surgery also. She did say that each episode should be checked but there could be many reasons.

You can get over translation.. where the healing tissue grows too fast and can bleed. Also she said intercourse can cause it. Thinning of the skin from surgery can cause it.

It is not always doen to something sinister
