Good morning ,
I have just been diagnosed with stage 3 endometrial cancer (very scared). I need to decide pre op whether to have lymph nodes removal or lymph node radiotherapy. I am really struggling to make a decision after reading up on some side effect/ late effects of both.Anyone else had to do this? Not expecting anyone to te.je what to do obviously but would appreciate anyones experience in either. Thank you
Hi toilet glad all went well and relax now and heal. Do some deep breathing in the sun. Opening up your lungs and breathing deep let's more oxygen = healing xxx
Hi Do you know your ID always makes me smile LOL. Sorry wasn't here to say welcome back home I was having my Final Chemo cycle - YAY! Another long day and knackered when I got home!
Take time to heal, listen to your body and when you feel like it short walks in this beautiful weather!
Cotton wool hugs your way, Barb xx

Hi toilet, I was supposed to be having lymph node removal. They injected dye but only took the sentinel nodes because of a problem I had during surgery. They found a minuscule cell of cancer in my right node, the left was clear. I had my surgery 6 weeks ago & have recovered well. I have my first oncology appointment this Tuesday. I'm having 6 cycles of chemo over 18 weeks then radiotherapy every day for 6 weeks. I'm very anxious at the thought of the treatment but my consultant is confident it will cure me. I'm going to try to be positive throughout this. I hope everything goes well for you!
Sue
Morning Sue
Thank you for your kind wishes. The plan for the moment is definitely Chemo as cancer is serous grade 3 with Brachytherapy then maybe also radiotherapy dependant on further tests from surgery. Is your radiotherapy because of cell found in lymph node or was that the initial plan for your treatment anyway? I totally get the anxiety thing it's natural & I'm sure I will feel exactly the same when my turn comes. I found reading the Chemotherapy Support Thread on here really helpful & interesting to read. The thing is no 2 people are the same but for me some general knowledge/ expectations alway helps. It's great that your consultant sounds so positive about your outcome . Reminding myself that all this s**t we will have to go through is for the best possible outcome also helps me. Good luck with your treatments will be thinking of you on Tuesday. Xx
Hi Sue1 Have a look at the Chemotherapy Support thread. Just click on the link. There's also a Radiotherapy Support thread-inc-brachytherapy you might find helpful.
Stay positive, it's hard but we're all here for you if you need us.

Hi toilet,
I wasn't going to have any further treatment after my surgery but because there was a cell in my right sentinel node & my cancer is grade 3 like yours my consultant said I should have chemotherapy & radiotherapy to make sure it's gone. I have looked on the chemotherapy support page. I like to know everything & process it so when I go to the hospital I understand everything they are telling me. I told them from the start that I want to know results at home before I see the consultant to enable me to be calm & able to listen & ask questions at my appointment. They are so lovely at my hospital. Thank you for your good wishes. Good luck with your treatments. X
