Hi I was diagnosed in May 2016 with cancer and lichen sclerosus after being misdiagnosed.
I have had 4 surgery’s and radiotherapy twice so if there any questions I can help anyone with please ask or message me .

  • Hi

That's very kind of you to offer to help others here who have questions around their diagnosis. Maybe you could keep an eye open for 'newbies' and contact them as often new people to the group don't look through older posts but post and wait for people to contact them.

If you have the time could you perhaps respond to the poster of this thread who joined the group within the last weeks and is looking for help with LS.

    Hi Emeria,

I had surgery to the same area. I had 2 weeks of antibiotics due to an infection so I would see your GP.  I’ve also attached the website. It’s a bit easier to use as well.

    hope this helps Xx

Wishful thinking. It took me at least 6 weeks to fully heal. With two courses of antibiotics.   I started to put Epaderm cream on when it got itchy as it was also very dry. Did you join the Facebook group?x

  • I did used to for over a year but so busy with support groups and awareness pages I don’t get the time now plus I don’t really like the layout and my emails go into junk folder and I have problems with private message.

  • That's fine , it was just a suggestion as you said you wanted to help people.

To stop emails from Macmillan going into your email provider's junk folder you can either add the Macmillan email address to your contacts or, if the email is in your junk folder, select the option to tell your provider that it isn't junk.

What problems are you having with your private messages? I might be able to help Fingers crossed

  • Yes I do want to help so was going to bump the post up every now and then .

I have put Macmillan in my contacts thank you for that.
The messages don’t let me see what I have already written and disappears of screen and sends before I’m ready and lots of other problems but can’t remember what as haven’t used it for o we a year.  I use my iPhone . Also need to get used to this new layout.
