Hi every one.
Just had another letter for a second MRI. This time for my Liver.
Does this mean that it has spread to my Liver? in which case it's more serious than I thought.
Haven't been diagnosed officially yet as I've got a biopsy to go through yet.
Got to do a COVID test Sunday before the op on Wednesday, but they've booked the MRI for Monday, even though I will be isolating.
This does not instill confidence with my team as the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing.
Still waiting for a reply from the Hospital and my GP.
Any advice, PLEASE.
Hi
As Grundy has said, unless it’s metistic and broke out it’s unusual. You mentioned having to isolate does that mean you have covid? Just because you have the injection does not mean you miss appointments, unless as I’ve mentioned you have covid.
let us know your results, we are not doctors but some of us might have been through the same thing.
stay safe.
Joe
It means it MIGHT have spread to your liver.
I doubt the MRI people have access to the coronavirus information.
Just phone and change the MRI appointment - explain your situation so they can find the best date for you.
If in doubt, go back to the specialist nurse (if there is one!).

If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.
Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.
Got to have COVID test (14th) and isolate for the 3 days before the Biopsy (17th). 2nd MRI booked for 15th. Haven't hear any results even though the first MRI was on the 2nd, CT on the 3rd and Bone scan on the 8th. Starting to feel like the proverbial mushroom.
Tried calling them 3 times Thursday and just got answer machine saying someone would call back. Friday, someone did call, but only to see if I was still attending. I nearly lost it at that point but calmly explained that I would be in isolation and in recovery after my biopsy. They just said they would put it on my notes. This gives me no confidence in my so called team at all.
What was your PSA or haven't they even told u that yet?
That is a bit high, that could be why they r doing a liver scan but still doesn't make much sense before scrutinising the Mri for the prostate.
Keep pushing for some results to give u some idea of what's going on.
Steve
Have you tried calling the radiography centre about the results of the MRI? Worth a try?
