Hi there!
My step father has being diagnosed with a gleason score of 10. Spread to liver and lymph nodes in spine etc.
I was wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with the same and has anything they can share on his experience.
His next appointment to discuss treatment options is the 20/04
But I think he needs to find his people !
TIA x
Hello CuriousCub
A warm welcome to the Online Prostate Group although I am so sorry to find you joining us.
You haven't given us your step fathers's PSA scores, or TNM score or whereabouts he is with his full diagnosis and treatment plan - but from what you have said already I am sure you are aware he has a very aggressive cancer and with that spread - he will be treatable but not curable.
If you can let us have the further information requested we as a group will give you as much support as we can here. Feel free to ask any questions, however trivial - you will get honest answers.
Best wishes- Brian.

Thankyou Brian, I do not have all this information but I can get it once I catch up with him Sunday.
I guess I just wanted to give him hope that people with a similar situation are around and trying to be positive

Hello CuriousCub
This cancer affects us all in a different way. Lots of things affect how we deal with it from our attitude to the NHS Trust dealing with you.
The more facts we have, age, PSA figures, TNM at diagnosis, MRI details and other health issues, the better we are able to help (although we can't give or go against medical advice).
We do have Community members on here with a Stage 4 (treatable but not curable) diagnosis who have had that for over 10 years. But you are right I do believe a positive attitude is half the battle!
I look forward to hearing from you again with the full diagnosis details - in the meanwhile nothing is too trivial if you have any questions.
Best wishes - Brian.
