Hello all. I am 76 and was diagnosed with prostate cancer on 15th Dec 2020. A CT scan has also shown nodules on my lungs and my Gleason score is 9( 5 + 4). I have been lucky and suffered very little in the way if side effects from the hormone treatment but start chemo next week and am apprehensive about that
sorry that you’ve joined our group.
Take care during chemo, listen to your body and advise given. Rest when needed,
I found beneficial the following
good luck and hope it goes well for you
Hi 44wasps.
like young man has said after each session, your body needs to recover, try not to go out as your blood count will be low and susceptible to germs, temperature once in the morning once at night is important, you will feel tired and weak the first chemo is the worst after that, you get used to the side effects.
Just take care of yourself, the first two days nothing might happen, hopefully you will be one of the people who it does not effect so good luck.
Stay safe
Joe
