Hi, I have been put on hormone therapy with degarelix and was wondering what side effects any one else has had with the drug. I know crudely put that it is chemical castration but horses for courses. I get a slight nausea but other than that ok.

Perhaps nobody's on this particular medicine, ( including me).
You will find some information here.
My husband was on this for 12 months. It worked amazingly, lowered his PSA very quickly and he had very few side affects.
However he started having adverse effects in the later months; a bad skin reaction at the injection site, fever and high heart rate. He was taken off it at the end of July and started on Triptorelin (Decapeptyl) every 24 weeks.
