Hi there. Rather than calling the guys under pressure, I wondered if anyone here has had an appointment either cancelled or changed to phone/video. I have my follow up and hopefully results from my wle and slnb (done 6 weeks ago) on Thursday this week. I have been fully expecting to have my appointment cancelled or changed to virtual but have not heard anything yet. Did anyone here have their appointment changed only days before? I’m a bit concerned about attending this one on my own in case it’s bad news.
Hello , This Wednesday and Friday are my dates for my hospital appointments (bloods and dr Wednesday & immunotherapy Friday) I was contacted Thursday last week to tell me Wednesday would be a telephone consult, and to get me to have a blood test via my GPs the next day or Monday at the lastest (which is today) ready for Wednesday’s appointment. I had worked out for me that Thursday was the most likely day for them to contact me and was gearing up to phone them if I hadn’t heard. I’m been told I will be phoned before Friday to double check I (& anyone I live with) have no Coronavirus symptoms, and I’ve had an extra phone call to double check I know of my change of venue for Friday.
I think it is wise to ring them Tuesday/Wednesday if you haven’t heard just to double check.
Take care KT
Thank you KTatHome.
As mine is follow up and results I would of thought that this can be done over the phone. I’ll give them a call on Wednesday if I don’t hear anything before. I called this morning and there was a message saying that if you haven’t heard directly from your specialist then you should attend your appointment as normal. I just don’t see that mine has to be face to face but feel bad holding on to speak to someone when they have stated the facts in the message.
I think I’m just working myself up over it. Thinking the worst. I’ve been completely relaxed about it until today and telling myself it will definitely be cancelled as I’m “fine”. Still time for them to contact me yet though as they must be crazy busy.
Well that message is quite clear then, I looked and yours is 1b so as you say you have reason to feel relaxed about it, until the doubt starts to creep in !
Sending you positive vibes, as you say they must be crazy busy and very deserving of the big clapping in the streets.
Take care KT
Hi
I’d be surprised if they cancel it completely seeing how you’re waiting for results - they’d still need to tell you the outcome good or bar, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was done over the phone.
I had an appointment for bloods and clinic today, and they called me last Thursday to tell me to still come in for bloods, but that my clinic appointment would be over the phone. So quite last minute! My immunotherapy appointment is going ahead on Thursday as usual.
Hope the results come back all clear. Best wishes.
Hi Katybb
That is quite last minute so sounds like I could still get a phone call then.
thank you
