Thank you I'm going to contact the doctors in the morning just feel lost at what to do and dont want my mom to have to do everything as this is a distressing time for us all but more so for her l just thought we would have had some contact from our family doctor thank you for taking the time to reply.

  • You re so welcome.   My husband has liver cancer too.  We got good advice from the acute oncology nursing sister through our local hospice.   She was so helpful and visited us at home.   Hospice staff are very experienced at symptom control and do all they can to help people be comfortable at home, if that s what they want.   Hope you get on ok.

So sorry to hear that hopefully when l speak with the doctor l should have more of a clue, the hospital did say Macmillan would be in contact. My dad is yellow and eating only fruit and chocolate at the moment, he cant stomach meat or the smell of food, just knowing what is what,as all cancers are different if that makes sence. l read stuff on the internet but it can all be confusing, hope you are coping with what is a difficult time as l well know the feeling and that you have support.
