Just been told I have secondary liver cancer that might be operable. Had bowel cancer 3 years ago and a fantastic surgeon saved me. A year ago a 8mm growth was found on my liver labelled as a common cyst in an unrelated RTA CT scan. I brought it to the cancer team at the time to no avail. As of August I have a 3.5cm liver cancer that if the same thing has a >32 times growth. It's fast becoming in-operable but the NHS process is slow and I haven't been transferred to liver team from bowel because the weekly MDT and summons letter to tell u the news takes forever. I want to get an op date but the queue is probable enormous. I'm putting my affairs in order, cremation and depressed until that happens because the NHS is overloaded and time is against me.
Hi nel1760fe and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
You might also find it helpful to join and post this message in the bowel cancer and secondary liver cancer groups as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same primary and secondary cancer as you.
If this is something that you'd like to do, just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
