Hi All,
Just recently joined this group, after my diagnosis with stage 2A NLPT HL. I've a slightly noticeable lump on my right neck and another in my armpit. My diagnosis was confirmed in March 2020, at this time the doctors decided not to treat right way, as overall i'm a generally healthy 42 year old Man with no other symptoms.
Since this diagnosis i have had one check up with bloods taken, no follow-up needed fortunately, understanding that this is a slow growing cancer that will return, they want to wait until needed before treating. I have struggled to deal with overthinking about this and worried that every sore neck (likely from being perched at my dining room table working for 6 months!), ear etc was another symptom but being reassured to watch and wait in the mean time. I think they want to wait for other symptoms to develop such as weight loss and night sweats before starting any treatment.
I wanted to ask if anyone has been diagnosed with this form of HL and had a similar experience, in not treating right away and if anyone has any hints and tips for dealing with this.
Thank you in advance for reading and taking time to respond.
Mark
Mark welcome to the community. I am Mike and I am dropping in past from our NHL group just to say hi.
There have been a number of folks with NLPT-HL over the years so let’s see if they are still around looking inane can connect with you.
Watch and Wait is often used in presentations that are slow growing. My journey was rather different as I had a rare Skin Lymphoma and it took a good 14 years before the big gun treatments were required.
Yes it’s a mind game but as my consultant said in the early days “some types of Lymphoma are now seen to be like a chronic illness”.
It is best to keep treatment for when it’s needed. Treat too soon and the treatment may well not be as effective as holding back - you can’t control this but you can control what is going on between your ears.
Always around to talk.

Thanks for the reply Mike - appreciate the support! I've been reading up on similar posts here, but interested to hear from any others who have been diagnosed with Nodular Lymphocyte-Predominant and what their journey was like?
Do try putting in Nodular Lymphocyte-Predominant Lymphoma or NLPT into the arch tool and have a look at the hits.
