I am 62 and have had a relapse of Hodgkin’s lymphoma after only six months. I have been told there are limited treatments now available to me due to having an overactive immune system. Has anyone else been in this situation?
Hi ,
you must feel gutted to have relapsed so soon. I assume you had ABVD as your treatment? What are you’re team thinking about next? As there are now a number of different treatments available, far more than when our daughter was treated.
where are you being treated? Might it be helpful to ask your team to talk to some of the renowned specialists in the field, like Professor John Radford at the Christie hospital in Manchester, or Dr Chris Macnamara at UCLH in London?
hope you get some answers and a plan soon

Hi
Thankyou for your support. I had AVD but without the B as I have scarred lungs from my auto immune disease. I have confidence in my consultant. We have not yet discussed further treatment as the lump in my neck is not currently big enough to biopsy. It just showed up on PET scan but it’s good to know there are treatments out there.

Hi again,
if it’s just one neck lump then they might consider radiotherapy? They can really do targeted radiotherapy now.
