Immunotherapy update

Hi all, I had my first review today after 2 cycles of Cemiplimab combo treatment. My lung tumour has grown slightly from 5cms to 5.5cms and 2 chest nodes from 18mm to 20 mm but still considered as stable so the treatment can continue.
No new tumours seen on ct scan and I’m feeling well apart from joint pain in my shoulders. Small price to pay - so far so good!

  • I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine today.

  • Thanks for the update.
it sounds like your oncologist is happy with that. That’s great news. Good to hear the side effects are not bothering you too much.
It’s a great inspiration for others undergoing immunotherapy.
I hope things go well in future.
Do you continue with this just as you do if you were on Pembrolizumab?

  • Hi little-fi and thanks for the update.  So pleased to hear things are going welland you can continue with the treatment.

I spent some time fiddling around in the garden today enjoying some rays.  Hope seeing the sun added to your day too.

    Take care.

  • Thanks Dani,

Yes, I have the last combo injections tomorrow with the Cemiplimab and then the Cemiplimab alone every 3 weeks which is the same drug more or less as Pembrolizumab.

Thanks for your good wishes- hope you’re keeping well too.

  • Good evening little-fi, so lovely to hear your update, sounds as if they are controlling/ containing the growths which are great as something must be working. Good luck with your planned treatment and that it can go can continue. We did have a bit of sun but a tad too chilly, all the very best for the rest of your journey, take care .

    Hi

hope you don’t mind me joining here. My mum just finished radiotherapy for throat cancer, she was doing well but then started experiencing new chest symptoms. Sadly PET has shown lung nodes... they are starting her on immunotherapy- Pembrolizumab...

    • Any experiences or thoughts or to share - please do.

pleased to hear that your treatment can continue.... x
