Hello all, I haven't been on here a lot in the last 12 months or so, but you were all a huge support for me in the first years after my husband's treatment for tongue cancer. He had a T2 which turned out to be a T3, a failure of his original free flap replacement after surgery (so now has a fixed flap), 6 weeks of radiotherapy and adjuvant chemo. We were told the probability of him surviving for 5 years after end of treatment was just under 50%. Well, 5 years was last Friday, and he has had no recurrence. He is still working full time, and enjoying life, although with modifications to speech and eating. We realise the 5 years is just a convenient statistical milestone, but it still feels good.

So, thank you all for helping us to get this far, and good luck on your personal journies.
