A helpful tip

When writing a long reply you might find it useful to copy your post not only  every couple of paragraphs but definitely before you send and the new server gobbles up your hard work.

  • Hi

I hope you don't mind me replying, as I'm not a member of this group, but I noticed your post about losing what you were typing and thought that the following taken from the FAQ page (link) might be helpful:

"If you were responding to a post and you get logged out, your post should have been saved for you.

Once you have been logged back in, if you go to the post you were responding to and hit ‘reply’ - your post should have saved in the reply box for you. You should then be able to pick up where you left off.

Once you have finished writing your response click the ‘Reply’ button once more and your response will be posted to the site."

I have found that following these instructions my replies are there when I log back on.

  • Thanks. That hasn’t happened to me but what has happened is that the message has sent but not appeared anywhere despite the fact that I am still logged on. As long as I have saved the message in my clipboard It’s not the end of the world.

  • I see

In that case it would be great if you could email the problem directly to community@macmillan.org as the admins are passing any issues like this on to the tech team to sort out.
