Good afternoon everyone,

Got called in Friday ,week early for results of my final petscan and after waiting hour and a half to see oncologist got the great news tumour was gone from back of tongue and all lymph nodes now clear !

Absolutely made up,now discharged back to local ENT consultant regards 3 monthly follow ups going forward for the next five years.

Goes without saying, you guys have been  a godsend and put to rest many worries I had over the last year.

Hopefully I can help out with questions in the coming months,I know new names are always appearing these days and any advice I can give regards my experience will hopefully put people's minds at rest.

I know I've got five years ahead regards follow ups etc,but like a lot of people say here I'm looking at bite size wins ,taking every days as it comes .

But for today I'm grateful for winning the battle ...Pray

  • Great news Martin, plus also really great that you plan to stick around to pass on your experiences to the new guys (and gals) who join in on here sadly very regularly, good on you!

From the title of the post I though I was going to read that you were planning a holiday, maybe you should. I have one coming in April/May but as it's on Skye so no guarantee of sun (although we went last year and got really lucky).Slight smile
