So today I went to find out whether the cancer has been eradicated. Was told PET scan showed no spread to other parts of the body, CT neck scan showed no spread to the neck either. MRI showed something on ethmoid sinus bone which needs investigating further. So consultant has put my case forward for an MDT meeting on Friday to find out if there are any tests etc that can be done or whether I will have to be monitored. So more uncertainty for the time being. Taking this all in my stride and hoping this can be investigated further.

I will. Got to take some positivity from it as it could have been a lot worse being told if it had spread. X
That’s the right attitude to take with you as you move forward.

Good evening Tan40, its great news that there is no spread as it must be a great relief for you, i know its a pain when they find something but at least they know something is there and can keep an eye on it. Hope all goes well for Friday best wishes.

That's good news for you. Belive me it is!
My PET still "glows" but the MDT are sure it's not of concern. I'm on "watchful waiting" as they never found the primary. I do understand the worry and concern that comes with each scan and wait. Sounds like your view of life is similar to mine. Happy to direct message if you want any further chats.
Let the clinical team do their job - and they will do the best for you they can - and enjoy a moment of relief that nothing really obvious has turned up in the scan .
Fingers crossed that the MDT get assured the last worry on the scans is of no concern.
Good luck
Thank you, I have definitely come out with a positive and happy it has not spread. My consultant did say there was a bit of a glow where the tumour grew but there is still quite a bit of swelling in the area so she isn’t overly worried about that. Think she is more concerned about the bone and seeing if this can be investigated further. She has been amazing throughout this.
I am now just taking it all in my stride like I did with my treatment. I have had my ups and downs like we all do, whatever the outcome I will continue to be positive and take that all in my stride too. Basically had to tell my family I can’t give them any further answers until after I see my consultant on Friday, as I would get will they operate, or is there anything they can do.
