hi guys had my 2nd Biopsy yesterday, I had my 1st back in Feb when 1st told I had cancer behind my nose and the back of my tongue, I had a PET scan that showed the cancer had shrunk but they needed another Biopsy to find out how much cancer is left if any because it could be scaring from the 1st biopsy.
I was nervous because the 1st time I could not wee after the anaesthetic and had to go A&E to have a cather fitted and the next day I had to go back to A&E because the cather did not work. this time the guy putting me to sleep put in some meds and fluids to help and I was ok and was able to wee.
still having problems eating so in four weeks time or there abouts I have to have a camera down my stomach to see if the peg fitted back in Feb caused any problems, the rig was removed a long time ago but I was not able to eat because I had no appertite from morning to night and foods were horrible or had the be washed down with water because of the lack of saliva.
Get results in about two weeks from my Biopsy, this time I got a bit of a sore mouth and throat, they took a lot of samples.

Hi Bee,
I am glad yours was just scarring, but not so good you in pain my Biopsies were not painful just a little sore after eating about a hour after having it done, all my treatment has been pain free RT back in February 2020 ,my problems have been taste change and no appetite so lost 3 stones in weight, food not tasting as it should and sweet taste being salty.
Today I seem to be ok ,I could feel a constant lump like something stuck in myself throat, after the Biopsy it seemed to go making life a lot better but its creeping back this morning I think its called post nasal drip where normally you would not notice because saliva would wash it away but lack of saliva makes life harder but as I said I am lucky to be pain free.
