I am back not sure what happened but seem to have lost my post, anyway one or two of you may remember I was having trouble eating after having radiotherapy in February, well things are getting a little better touch wood, cutting long story short I had a pet scan and found that the cancer had shrunk but not gone ,this tumor was behind my nose and on the back of my tongue, I am booked in for another biopsy on the 12th, if it comes back that I need more treatment it will be drugs although I will ask about laser treatment, can't have radiation because I have had the max.
Hi Keavan , a lot of people are finding it hard to log on to the site at the moment as a new platform Macmillan are using so just having a few teething problems . Yes i remember your previous post, this is great news that they have managed to shrink the tumour so maybe if more treatment is needed with drugs it will get rid of the cancer, yes we only get one go with the radiotherapy in that certain area . I personally dont know anything about laser treatment but its worth asking your consultant, i have heard it mentioned on here so maybe someone will come along and give you their experience with it . Thanks for keeping us in touch , all the best for your biopsy on the 12th ,take care.
Chris.
