Hello everyone
Well after a very long 5 weeks my consultant telephoned me yesterday to give me the biopsy result. Unfortunately the news was not good. I have Low Grade Lymphoma. The tumour was actually on my adenoid. I appear to have kept mine! The consultant informed me that I will now be passed over to an Haematologist who will now be in charge of my treatment. I now have another wait until I’m contacted but not sure in the current climate how or when this will be done. There was a mention of further scans and possibly radiotherapy and chemo. Depending on what is found he even said that the Haematologist might decide to just monitor me. I was starting to calm down a little but have now gone into full meltdown again. Could not face food yesterday, cried and had very little sleep last night. Feels like I’ve gone right back to 7 weeks ago when the tumour was first discovered.
Hi Rafferty

Hi Rafferty
before you leave for the lymphoma section I want to wish you good luck.
Take heart that early low grade lymphoma is eminently treatable and long long times of remission are the norm.

Thank you Dani
I’ve had a quick look at lymphoma section but they all seem to be specific lymphoma and as I’ve not been given a type yet, I’ll wait a little while. I will also come back on here to update you all on outcome of scans and treatment plan.
Best wishes
