Evening all

Going to start papering the lounge. Using all the n.h.s appointment letters. Will look pretty bland but a good coat of magnolia emulsion should sort that out. Either that or a big Fire. Maybe just recycle them and keep on the good side of gretta thorberg

(I think that's the name)

  • yes lots of paperwork.
I had a check up at restorative dentist on Wednesday. I need two appointments which the consultant set up on his screen. I went to the desk to pick up the letters to be told that I couldn’t have them as the appointments were too far in the future (four weeks!)and they would be in the post. Four letters arrived yesterday morning ( two for each visit) and another four identical, but on slightly different colour paper this morning.
I'm beginning to think papering the loo might be a good start.
Apart  from giving birth to my daughter I have largely avoided doctors except for routine preventative stuff for 60 years. In 18months the paper file my consultant occasionally brandishes is six inches thick!

  • Similar note, the lovely receptionist in ENT out patients at my hospital needed to go into weight training to manage to lift my file by the time I was discharged; I'd had a few problems pre-cancer so there was already a wedge there before I even started. Such a lovely young woman and has great muscle tone now as well! The last time I was there I made a point of thanking her for her smiling face and great attitude over the years and told her I was (hopefully) gone for good; she was lovely and wished me well but I'm sure I detected a slight sigh of relief when I turned my back and left Slight smile
