Good evening Jacqueline, I have not had sinus cancer so do not really know anything about it, the only reconstruction I have had is a reconstruction of my lower jaw with a bone from my leg. Like most reconstructions, it gets better and easier with time. Weight loss is another problem as none of us feels like eating or cannot eat. Did you have a PEG feeding tube fitted or an NG tube, I have Ensure food supplements prescribed by my dietitian that I put through my PEG. Things will get easier its just some take longer than the other especially bone and skin grafts. Good luck for tomorrow and please re-post if you need more advice or reassurance. Best wishes.

Hi Jaqui, i have recently been diagnosed with nasal/ sinus cancer after a biopsy, yesterday I has a ct scan and today an MRI. I see a Consultant at Poole hospital on 31 March. i am terrified, if you don't mind me, asking, how did your symptoms start and why did you need such radical surgery? it must have been such a shock to be given such news
Kind regards
Lyn
There's an enormous multi storey carpark attached to the hospital. Only once have I found it full but got a space without waiting too long. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time as it takes a while driving round and then walking to the hospital - all under cover. If you have to go every day for treatment you get a vastly reduced parking rate.
It's much easier than Dorchester. My dad has frequent appts there and gets there for 8.00am regardless of his appt time!
