Hello
I have my last FLOT tomorrow, 4 in all, I have also have 2 rounds of Carbo and Etoposide. I have my CT scan on the 1st Feb as they plan is to operate so I have fingers and toes crossed they I will still be on this pathway.
The Flot has been tough as people say, the Oxy-legs were terrible!! the two week turn around has given me about 3 days of normality. I would like to thank those that offered side effect advice as it really helped me to be proactive with the Meds.
The change for me is from Oct to early December I was not able to eat food, shakes only. I am now eating normally, I have attempted spicy food, like a curry . I find I need to eat more often or I get like an empty discomfort, not sure what that's about? My sternum feels sore sometimes also? fingers crossed these are gastral related to the growth but I guess it must of shrunk as I can eat.
I am so looking forward to some weeks without Chemo but also apprehensive, it will be back to that waiting place, and this is it, which pathway? I wish I had not been told IT was high grade, this bit really sticks in my head!!
What lovely blue skies I have in the south at the moment, beautiful
Hi Jennie
I have lots of vitamins and taking in lots of protein but something isn't quite right. I know this first year will and is the hardest and maybe just getting impatient to feel better.
I watch a little bit of football but not that bothered as cycling and ice hockey are my main sports to watch.
Happy to help where I can and I get good advice on here too it's making the journey a little easier.
Best wishes
Dean
Hi Bob
Sorry to hear the side effects of chemo have hit you so hard. It's difficult isn't it I know I have been there. It will get better slowly but really feel for you.
I'm still tired and have no energy and my chemo finished in mid April. Had a blood test today to look for any deficiencies as had low iron before and during treatment so that may not be helping.
Hope you feel better soon
Best wishes

Hi Dean
My dietician organised a prescription for “Renepro” a 20ml protein drink (Berry flavour) that tastes bloody awful I’ve tried diluting it I’ve tried it before and after my Jevity plus feed but I can’t get on with it every time I have it I start getting the symptoms of Dumping syndrome so if you want it come and get it as I still can’t drive
I don’t do football or horse racing so TV wise I’m screwed as it either the Euro’s or Royal Ascot so I find myself browsing through the small ads in the motorhome monthly magazine looking for a bargain l haven’t found one yet
like you I’m always here to help but I find all I get is great advise
I’ve only got 8:30 hours left tied to this bloody pump I really think this is the worst part about this recovery is ‘Abbott” freeco pump whirring away all night and I end up clock watching just waiting for it to finish Sorry moaning again
Goodnight Best wishes

Morning Alasdair
Yes the protein drinks are not nice are they. I have ProSource and it's a challenge every day to drink it. Also taking Creon which is to help me absorb food and the big tablets are hard to get down as well but is has to be done. I don't like tennis or football really but not much else on really. Tour de France not far away now and the Olympics so it will get better.
Hope you feel better soon
Best wishes

Hi Jennie
Should get results later today to see what is going on.
I watch NHL ice hockey , the Toronto Maple Leafs are my team. They got to the play offs this year but lost 4 games to three against Boston Bruins.
Yes really nice day today so going out in my garden to potter
Hope you are feeling ok
Best wishes
