Hello, I've just been diagnosed with secondary brest cancer in my lung. I was given the all clear from breast cancer at the end of March this year. I'm only 45, absolutely devastated. Any help welcome.
I was diagnosed with secondary in my lung and spine just over two years ago . I have been on chemo ever since but it has remained pretty much stable . So hang on in there as I do pretty much what I always did apart from walking up hills as I do get quite breathless I try and stay in my day and make sure I do something that makes me smile each day ! Dancing in the kitchen is pretty good especially as I like you are being shielded and can’t go out ! Take good care and try not to over think it all hope all goes well with your treatment plan x
Hello, was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer that has spread to one of my lungs in February this year. Was told I would just be getting immunotherapy but then been told it would be radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Chemo not necessary at this stage which I am taking as a positive. Absolutely devastated at going through treatment again but have been lucky I suppose as my first cancer diagnosis was 10 years ago. It just seems so scary that they say I can be treated but cannot be cured. Just wondered if anybody was going the same and if anybody was on immunotherapy and what the side effects were. Any help would be most welcome and appreciated. Many thanks

Hello and and everyone else.
I have secondary breast cancer also, which was diagnosed in Jan 2018. My initial diagnosis was Nov 2013. The treatment record is on my profile.
The SE on immunotherapy are not too bad I find. The first treatment was Capecitabine which resulted in fatigue & very, very dry skin and blood clots in the lungs. Blood clots in lungs or legs :DVT maybe quite common for people with cancer / undergoing chemotherapy.
I developed blood clots in the lungs ( breathless), confirmed by an X-ray.
Then I had almost a year of daily Tinzaparin ( blood thinner) injections in my stomach. This was carried out a GP surgery week days and District Nurse at weekends. I hate needles.
The Cape treatment stopped working after 20 months. Longer than the average.
Now I’m on break after 6 months of Ribociclib tablets with monthly Fulvestrant ( anti oestrogen) injections in the posterior.
My main met is in the chest with minor ones in the spine and sternum, and possibly lungs.
I have an appointment with my Oncologist on Tuesday to discuss my treatment.
what treatment are you taking please?
Judith xx
Hello jmp I am on weekly Paclitaxel only.Everybody is wondering why I have been on it so long.I dont know.Dont have the best relationship with my oncologist.I was offered initially a trial immunotherapy but I have refused. If it would be part of treatment I would take it but not as a trial.Apparently only 1 person was doing it and had no results from it.I am all negative so I just having chemo.
Hi thank you for letting me know this and it’s great that the treatment is continuing and long may it do so.
